License grant and open-source rights
The WordPress theme code is distributed under GPLv2-or-later. A paid annual license provides access to seller-operated premium services, updates and support as described on the checkout page. The software freedoms granted by the GPL remain in effect.
- done Deploying on staging, local dev (`.local`, `.test`), and production instances under your purchased seat count.
- done Customizing themes, GraphQL queries, React components, and bespoke checkout middleware.
- done Client handoff where client accepts license seat renewal terms.
- close Redistributing, sublicensing, reselling or publicly hosting Verse license authentication keys.
- close Reverse engineering or scraping proprietary high-velocity cart caching endpoints.
- close Circumventing telemetry counters or activation token validators.
Standalone WordPress commerce
The theme includes independently implemented store functions without requiring the WooCommerce plugin. No specific performance, uptime or third-party certification is guaranteed; test your store on supported hosting before enabling real transactions.
Architectural Covenant & SLA
Built for extreme sub-50ms catalog response times
We pledge that no future updates to the Verse core engine will introduce mandatory Woo dependencies. Custom tables (`wp_verse_orders`, `wp_verse_inventory`, `wp_verse_sessions`) remain strictly unbundled, optimized with B-tree indices for high-concurrency flash sales.
One active domain and renewals
The premium license permits one active production domain at a time. You may transfer the active domain by releasing the old one through the seller. Renewals are manual, and payment must be verified before your premium entitlement is extended.
Domain Allocation & Staging Exemption Policy
Subdomains containing `staging.`, `dev.`, `test.`, or top-level `.local` domains do not consume commercial license seats.
You may re-bind a license key to a new primary domain directly from the Verse Account Portal once every 24 hours without human ticket approval.

Refunds and payment review
Refund eligibility depends on the published policy and applicable consumer law. Stripe or PayPal payments are validated by provider callbacks; manual bank and USDT payments require seller review. Contact the support address before submitting a refund request.
Contact support with your order reference to request a refund review; eligibility depends on your published policy and applicable consumer law. Your refund is initiated immediately.
Funds return directly to the original card or payment instrument via Stripe within 3–5 banking business days.
* Note: License renewals after the initial annual billing cycle are not eligible for retroactive refunds, though auto-renew can be toggled off at any moment with 1 click from your merchant dashboard.
Privacy and data handling
To issue and validate licenses, the seller processes purchaser identity, email, order references and active domain. Receipt proofs must remain in server-private storage. For privacy requests, use the support contact in this site.
Customer credit card numbers, CVVs, and raw payment tokens NEVER touch your WordPress database. All checkouts use Stripe Elements & Payment Request API client-side tokens.
We bundle 1-click personal data export and anonymization tools compliant with GDPR Article 17 ("Right to Erasure") and California Consumer Privacy Act demands.
Verse Commerce installs zero hidden analytics beacons, retargeting pixels, or consumer ad brokers into your storefront frontend. Clean code only.
When your site performs automatic core updates or checks license validity, Verse Commerce servers receive only minimal diagnostic payloads:
We never collect end-shopper names, sales volume, basket contents, or inventory values.
Support and limitations
The merchant remains responsible for configuring WordPress, hosting, taxes and payment providers. The seller does not warrant that every third-party merchant account or external integration is available. Contact support@commerce.verseskill.com for assistance.
